Funding
Through this project, MCP will provide seed money that is to be at least doubled by the participant’s fundraising efforts. The money raised by the participant will be used to carry out the proposed service project within the timeline provided by the applicant.

Requirements
Interested applicants will be required to fill out an application, meet all guidelines, and complete both the fundraising portion of the project and the project itself within the expressed timeframe. All youth participants must have an adult supervisor who can help monitor funds received and raised, as well as the allocation of the funds and the overall good faith of the young participants. All BIG Idea service projects must be in alignment with the MCP mission statement.
Timeline
The Big Ideas Project will be an ongoing MCP program. Applications will be perpetually accepted as long as granting funds are available. The MCP board will make a decision to grant funds during the first week of each month. Each applicant should submit a timeline with their proposal that specifies the following:
- Matching funds, if not already secured, must be met within two months of application acceptance. MCP funds will then be granted.
- Service project must be completed within four months of the grant allocation.
- A final report must be submitted upon project completion accompanied by a final budget and any project documentation (such as photographs, video, blog, webite).
